ARIA and Persona, where you already work.

ARIA answers what consumers are saying. Persona lets you test ideas on simulated consumers.

Available in: ChatGPTCopilotMCPAPI

Illustrative animation: a question asked in ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, your own agent over MCP and your app over the ARIA API travels to ARIA, which listens to public conversations and sends an answer back. Then a Persona answers in ChatGPT as a simulated consumer.

Illustrative example, sped up. Real answers take a few minutes.

FAQ

Getting started

ARIA is a research assistant: ask about a brand, category or market and it answers from real social conversations. Persona lets you pick a simulated consumer, a digital twin built from social conversations, and ask it questions as you would a real customer. Persona answers are simulated; they don’t come from real people. See the Persona guide →

Everyone who uses ARIA or Persona signs in with their own Convosight account, in ChatGPT, Copilot and MCP alike. Convosight issues your login (email and password) once your agreement is in place. If you don’t have one, contact your Convosight CSM or reachus@convosight.com.

What you can use, and how many questions you can ask, is set out in your Convosight agreement (Terms of Service). To check what yours includes, ask your Convosight CSM or reachus@convosight.com. Your ChatGPT plan or Microsoft 365 Copilot licence is separate and comes from OpenAI or Microsoft.

ChatGPT: OpenAI offers plugins on all ChatGPT plans, including Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. Some plugins need a paid plan, and whether you can install one also depends on your workspace, role and region (OpenAI). On Business, Enterprise and Edu, your workspace admin controls which plugins are available. To ask ARIA, switch the chat to Work (ARIA step 4). Copilot: your account must show M365 Copilot (Premium) at the bottom left. On Basic, ARIA won’t run, so ask IT for the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on (Copilot guide).

Possibly. In ChatGPT, if you don’t see Install plugin, your workspace admin may need to enable plugins. In Copilot, if ARIA isn’t listed in Sources, your IT admin may need to allow the app. See the troubleshooting notes at the end of the ChatGPT and Copilot guides.

ARIA answers from real-time social data across Facebook Groups, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit and other communities (MCP guide). Name a brand, category or market in your question. Which markets and how far back you can look depend on your Convosight setup, so ask your CSM or reachus@convosight.com for yours.

Detailed answers usually take 2–3 minutes, sometimes longer, because ARIA researches each question before answering. Keep the chat open while it works. Over MCP a single call can run for up to 15 minutes before it times out (MCP guide).

Using ARIA & Persona

In Copilot, look for the green ARIA icon. It marks every insight that comes from Convosight data (Copilot step 6). With each answer, ARIA also sends back the public posts and comments it draws on, with links to the originals (Privacy Policy).

ARIA is switched on chat by chat. In every new chat, click + in the message box, then Change data sources, and turn on the toggle next to Aria by Convosight until it says 1 source enabled (Copilot step 5).

Yes, in ChatGPT you can install both. They are separate plugins, each set up with your Convosight login (ARIA guide, Persona guide). ChatGPT uses an installed plugin when it’s relevant, or you can pick one with an @ mention (OpenAI). Use ARIA for research and Persona for a simulated consumer’s reaction.

Persona is available in ChatGPT today. It isn’t in Copilot yet, and we haven’t announced a date. To hear when it is, write to reachus@convosight.com.

Yes. In ChatGPT and Copilot, your question limit comes from Convosight, not OpenAI or Microsoft: it’s set in your Convosight agreement (Terms of Service). For Persona in ChatGPT, a daily question limit applies per user, and ChatGPT tells you plainly when you’ve hit it and when it resets. Each ARIA answer comes back with your remaining allowance for the period (Privacy Policy). Your ChatGPT plan’s own limits still apply. On the API, each accepted question uses one unit of your team’s quota, counted daily, monthly or yearly depending on your setup. Questions outside your team’s lookback window are rejected and not charged, polling is free, and polling faster than every 3 seconds returns a 429 (API limits).

Security & data

You sign in with your Convosight login in a Convosight sign-in window, then click Approve. Whichever assistant you use, ARIA and Persona only read your identity, email and basic profile. MCP clients use standard OAuth 2.1 (Authorization Code + PKCE) with the scopes openid, email and profile (MCP guide).

Only your question, nothing else from your chat. From our Privacy Policy: requests contain “the user’s question and the reference numbers needed to keep a conversation together”, and “Our input schemas accept nothing else: no profile information, no location, and no other content from the user’s conversation with the assistant.” It returns the answer, the public social content it draws on, and your remaining query allowance for the period. Your chat with ChatGPT or Copilot itself is processed by that assistant under its own terms.

No user data is used to train AI models.

Yes. Answers and the questions behind them are stored against your Convosight account. They’re kept “for the term of the customer relationship and 30 days afterwards” (Privacy Policy). You can disconnect the assistant in its settings at any time, and ask us to delete your history at reachus@convosight.com.

For developers

Use MCP when an AI assistant or agent should call ARIA as a tool. Each user signs in with their own account, and ask_aria_text returns plain text. Use the API for your own apps and backends: your server sends a question with your team’s API key, gets a session_id, and polls every 3–5 seconds for the answer. Both are by request via reachus@convosight.com.

ask_aria_text blocks until ARIA finishes or 15 minutes pass, so set your tool-call timeout well above 2–3 minutes. Timeouts, expired sessions and outages come back as a normal, successful response with the message in the text or the error field, not as an error status. We don’t retry, so re-issue the call yourself (MCP guide).
